Complete 150 hours of practice and study in 6 online modules. You may begin the online component of this course right away. You have 6 modules to complete, and you are required to complete AT LEAST the first 2 online modules prior to attending the in-person module.
Practice: You will develop or maintain a daily practice with āsana classes, guided prāṇāyāma practices, and foundational meditation. Enjoy the practices included with the course, or sign up to our online platform so you can access a huge variety of on-demand classes to support your training.
Study: each module, you will receive pre-recorded lectures on techniques, alignment, teaching skills, philosophy, history and mantra from Tahl and Bess. Plus faculty lectures from Rose Baudin (philosophy) and Bec Isaacs (anatomy). Join live calls to practice together, answer questions and do some prac teaching.
Join Tahl and Bess at our Byron studio (11 Banksia Drive, Byron Bay) for 7 days of hands-on, in-person practice and learning. We'll be together from 22-28 May, 2023, from approx. 9am-5pm daily. Enjoy extended āsana, prāṇāyāma and meditation practices, intensive prac teaching sessions, practice hands-on assists, and benefit from Q&A sessions with Bess and Tahl. Please note that you will need to arrange your own accomodation and food for the week; course fees cover tuition only.
Each week leading up to the in-person module (and following), you will spend at least 1 hour practice teaching, virtually or in person, giving and receiving feedback with your peers. Live calls will also include practice teaching sessions so you can receive coaching and feedback from Bess and Tahl. The in-person module will feature intensive practice teaching sessions, with feedback from your peers and your teachers.
At the end of each online module, you will complete a short quiz to test your knowledge. At the end of the course, you will complete a teaching assessment either in person or over Zoom, and submit a short essay on the topic of yoga philosophy.
