Our online 200 hour teacher training is designed for yoga students with a consistent practice who are ready to deepen their practice and step into the role of the teacher. 

 

Format: 6 modules, access for the lifetime of the platform. Two intakes per year: January 2024 Intake is now open!

Daily Practice

Develop or maintain your daily practice with āsana classes, guided prāṇāyāma practices, and foundational meditation. Enjoy the practices included with the course, or sign up to our online platform so you can access a huge variety of on-demand classes to support your training.

Theory

Each module, you will receive pre-recorded lectures on techniques, alignment, teaching skills, philosophy, history and mantra from Tahl and Bess. Plus faculty lectures from Rose Baudin (philosophy) and Bec Isaacs (anatomy). Join weekly live calls for the first six weeks of each intake to practice together, answer questions and do some prac teaching. 

Teaching Practice

Each week you will spend at least 1 hour practice teaching, virtually or in person, giving and receiving feedback with your peers. Live calls will also include practice teaching sessions so you can receive coaching and feedback from Bess and Tahl. 

Assessment

At the end of each module, you will complete a short quiz to test your knowledge. At the end of the course, you will complete a live teaching assessment over Zoom, and submit a short essay on the topic of yoga philosophy.

Your Teachers 

Tahl Rinsky

As a teacher, Tahl shares a creative and accessible breath focused Vinyasa flow influenced by ashtanga in a strong, fun and dynamic style. Her classes celebrate the raw beauty of life’s moments and the individual strengths each of us carry within. Tahl is Yoga Alliance ERYT200 and RYT500 certified.

Bess Prescott

Bess has been practicing yoga for more than 20 years. She takes a scholarly approach to the practice, based on original texts, and completed first year Sanskrit Studies at ANU in 2021. She has been teaching yoga since 2011 and is Yoga Alliance ERYT500 certified.

Bec Isaacs

Bec is a dedicated student, teacher and teacher trainer. With a background in mentoring, coaching and a University degree in Kinesiology & Physical Education, Bec carries her education into her practice and teaching. Bec's teaching style is traditional & intentional and focuses on breath-centred functional movement, stability, stillness and meditation. 

Rose Baudin

Rose has studied and practiced yoga since 1968 and has taught since 1987. She met her mentor, Swami Gauribala Giri, in Sri Lanka in 1971 and was initiated into the Parampara in 1984. She is a senior teacher of yoga philosophy, prāṇāyāma & meditation. Rose has been conducting yoga intensives, residential retreats and seminars internationally for the past 35 years.

This course is focused on the teachings of Patañjali, and graced with the guidance of Dena Kingsberg. Practice prāṇāyāma and asana with Tahl, and learn Patañjali’s meditation techniques with Bess. Study the history and context of Patañjali’s writings and learn with Dena to chant selected sutras from the text. Understand the original meaning, and apply these teachings to your practice, and your life.
