Saturday 9 November 12-3pm
Sunday 10 November 12-3pm
Clive will start each daily session with an invigorating all-round asana practice, with a particular focus on the breath, and suitable for all yoga practitioners. This will be followed by a sensitive exploration of essential pranayama rhythms, safely guided with Clive’s insight acquired over a lifetime’s experience. Finally, ‘Satsang’ means a gathering together of like-minded friends to contemplate spiritual truth. We will be introduced to a direct practice of self inquiry to lovingly challenge the personalised image we have of ourselves, by recognising our tendency to be lost in the mind. Our potential, through inquiry, is to awaken the heart from its emotional veils, and free the mind from its tendency for confusion, thus ultimately fulfilling our Yogic life.
Having spent almost half his life in India on a very deep and intense journey of self awakening, Clive’s rich sharings have an extremely unique flavour. The exploration of asana and pranayama he terms ‘tools for transformation’, since they stir up to the surface of our awareness our unresolved emotions carried from events in our life. And self inquiry is a direct way to acknowledge our stories, and ultimately heal them. To this cocktail is added the spice of devotion, and we are reminded that in this era of ‘Kali Yuga’ it is a potently powerful time for connecting with our divine essence, manifesting in Her feminine form as the Universal Mother. Gazing directly into matters of our heart and mind, Clive shares guidelines that are potentially liberating for us, as we dissolve the emotional veils of our heart space, and settle into spaciousness beyond the mind!
‘Self inquiry is the Siva and devotion the Shakti within us!’ - with Hatha Yoga sadhana the means to awaken to our Bliss!
