This lively seminar is for anyone interested in deepening their experience of the yoga scriptures by reading directly from significant passages. Sanskrit, the language of these scriptures, contains not only the highest knowledge about yoga and the processes of human consciousness, but also carries within itself the secrets of the power of sound. Whether you are merely looking at improving your pronunciation of the name of yoga asanas, or to dive more deeply into the intricacies of this fascinating language, the Joy of Sanskrit Seminar will provide you with an entryway into the joy of the Sanskrit language. The Joy of Sanskrit Seminar employs a very user-friendly methodology that allows participants to naturally absorb grammar through translation, instead of mind-numbing memorisation. From the beginning, participants discover the joy of understanding passages directly. The seminar includes an introduction to the language and its history, instruction and practice into the correct pronunciation of Sanskrit sounds, translation of texts and mantras, practice into the pronunciation of common yoga terms, questions and answers, etc.
